They were cable tied to the power supply and I didn’t see where they were connected when I removed the other wires. They have unusual terminals on the wire ends. Both wires are very small and black....
Chosen Solution I have been handed an 06 15" Pro with the C2D 2.16 The problem I’m having is that if I have the battery installed (fully charged) it won’t power up. Not even the slightest indication of working, IE no fans, lights, hdd, dvd nada. I’ll connect the wall charger and I get a dim green light, dim amber if the battery is in need of charging. Remove the battery and plug in the charger a couple of times and it goes to bright green (dim green till then) and act’s like nothing was wrong....
Chosen Solution Well long story short my child was playing his 2ds xl and dropped it from about a foot and a half to the ground and since then I can’t get it to turn on anymore. The only thing it will do is the blue light comes on and after about 5 seconds or so you hear a popping noise from the speakers and it powers back off, the screen never lights up or anything....

Chosen Solution My TP42 won’t start either. The fan starts and two LEDs, Power and Battery are on. ThinkLight is working but the screen won’t work and neither Caps Lock. The DVD drive is working, but it is useless without the screen working. Any ideas? You should be able to hook it up to an external monitor before starting up, which should show any errors for startup……. ( assuming you don’t hear any beeps etc)....

You said you tested it for 12V and 5V but are not telling us where and how you tested this....

Hi Maegan, often times when carrying your camera with you throughout the day, or even just having it sitting at home, dust and other foreign objects can become imbedded within the camera. Try gently clearing out all the spaces by the power switch to get rid of any dirt or dust that may have accumulated throughout your travels and make sure the power switch can move freely....
